Holding a Baby Shower for a Coworker?

Baby showers held in your office are called 'Office Showers' for obvious reasons and they allow expectant mother's to receive gifts from those she works with.

Office showers are also scheduled for expectant father's too, in the absent of the mother as coworker, because those who are offering the shower wish to provide gifts to the family.

Often times it is best to include all workers, not just female, so that they can participate in the shower for the mother to be. It is also acceptable to ask everyone if they would help support the cost of the shower such as food and drink, as well as the venue should it be offsite.

This generally is welcomed by the coworkers since they may not know what to buy for the baby, nor have the time to purchase a baby shower gift on their own.
